    Millard Health
    Temporary, Full-Time Position

    Millard Health is a customer-focused organization geared towards excellence in disability management and rehabilitation services. We offer a variety of innovative assessment and treatment services that focus on our client’s abilities and employability.

    Responsibilities:

    Millard Health is a state-of-the-art CARF accredited rehabilitation facility with a Canadian Psychological Association accredited doctoral-level Counseling Psychology internship program. We are currently seeking an individual with a clinical, counseling or rehabilitation psychology background and experience for the position of Psychologist. Reporting to the Service Manager of Return to Work Services, the successful candidate will/may be responsible for:

    • Delivering psychological services as part of an interdisciplinary team to injured workers suffering from acute pain, chronic pain, traumatic injuries and/ or brain injuries.
    • Completing psychological assessments and counseling sessions to enhance our clients’ abilities to return to work.
    • Facilitating psychology groups and conducting relaxation training classes to reduce the impact of disability related issues.
    • Mentoring Psychology Interns.
    • Assisting with program development as required.
    • Collaborating with Psychology peers to ensure best practice as required.
    • You would be required to work on special needs teams such as Complex, TPI or Brain Injury as part of your continued development and to support ongoing business needs.

    Qualifications:

    The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in Psychology, certification with the College of Alberta Psychologists and completion of an internship from a Canadian Psychological Association accredited facility or equivalent. As well, significant experience in an interdisciplinary rehabilitation setting involving the assessment and treatment of a variety of disorders is required. Research and psychological consultant experience is an asset. Equivalencies may also be considered.

    Salary:

    $7,789.08 to $10,135.85 per month (In accordance with the HSAA Agreement)

    Note:

    This is a temporary, full-time position for approximately one year with the possibility of extension and/or permanency. This job will be posted until a suitable candidate is selected.

    Security Clearance

    Final external candidates for this position will be required to undergo a security clearance. Internal candidates may also be required to undergo a security clearance as per the WCB Security Clearance guideline.
