POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Director, Finance, the successful applicant will be accountable for the maintenance and analysis of all processes for the Ontario Case Costing (OCC) submission including the collection, preparation, integration and reporting of financial and statistical data requirements.


EDUCATION:

• Post-secondary level Finance/Health Administration or equivalent experience
• Professional accounting designation (CPA) preferred

EXPERIENCE:

• Hospital experience in Finance and/or Decision Support recommended
• Previous experience with Case Costing an asset
• Knowledge and understanding of Ministry of Health and Long Term Care healthcare reporting standards (OHRS/MIS and MIS certificate preferred), OCCI methodology, and funding methodologies
SKILLS:

• Knowledge of and the ability to demonstrate use of hospital administrative datasets commonly used to inform decisions including but not limited to: MIS, DAD, NACRS, CCRS, NRS, OMHRS, and Admission/Discharge/Transfer data
• Advanced computer skills specifically in the use of Microsoft Office applications, with expert level Excel skills
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a diversified workload, multiple tasks concurrently and work within tight deadlines
• Evidence of strong technical and analytical skills, effective organizational, interpersonal, communication, leadership, judgment, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
• Flexible, self-directed and able to work effectively with minimal supervision
• Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Excellent attendance record
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience with Cerner and OCCI Case Costing system is an asset.
• Experience with project management an asset
