Intermediate Java Developer
Position Description
Full stack Java development in a docker/kubernetes environment.
Java software development - delivering features and fixes to the product with a focus on integration.
Unit testing
Code management following standard gitflow
Participate in daily scrums
Your future duties and responsibilities
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• 2 or more years’ experience building enterprise grade or web-scale software using Java and Open Source technologies
• You have earned a post-secondary diploma or degree and/or relevant working experience in business, technology or relevant field.
• Strong conceptualization ability, excellent ability to translate abstract ideas into working, high quality code
• Highly collaborative and capable of working in a fast paced and dynamic team environment
• Develop and maintain applications using Java, Spring Framework, Oracle, XML, JSON, Junit and numerous JavaScript libraries
• Familiarity with commonly used IDE tools like Eclipse/ Intellij, Database tools like PL-SQL Developer
• Working knowledge of Github or other version control tools.
• Participating in requirement analysis, design and code reviews with a focus on ensuring your solutions are high quality, secure, reliable and performant
• Strong collaboration skills demonstrated through the ability to work effectively with stakeholders, quality control analysts and security experts, as examples
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
