CIMCO US is currently looking for Package Engineering Designers (Mechanical Engineers / System Designers) to join our Package Engineering Team. This team is involved in the detailed system design of leading edge Commercial, Industrial & Recreational refrigeration packages.
The successful candidates will have at least 3 years of experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD in designing Refrigeration and/or Mechanical systems on a commercial or industrial scale. Current location for this position is in Duncan, SC.

Role Responsibilities

• System Design - Mechanical design aspects of the various types of refrigeration systems in Industrial
and Recreational applications.
• Prepare flow diagram in AutoCAD of system
• Prepare 3D SolidWorks model and spools for fabrication based on known dimensional constraints,
jobsite and customer requirements.
• Establish design and operating conditions for equipment to be used in refrigeration systems.
• Component selections and understanding of pumps, compressors, motors, heat exchangers, pressure
vessels, control valves.
• Design routes and piping to refrigeration standards while permitting ease of manufacturing/servicing.
• Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings and instructions.
• Prepare bill of material and issue material requisitions to purchasing department with SAP software.
• Supervise assembly of refrigeration systems in CIMCO Duncan manufacturing facility.
• Liaise multiple CIMCO departments, customers, and suppliers.
• Collaborating with electrical, automation, insulators, etc to complete the package as designed.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement /Lean Manufacturing meetings.

Required Professional Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications

• University Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with emphasis on Mechanical Design.
• Proficiency on SolidWorks platform with minimum of 3 years of experience with SolidWorks
• Routing and Weldments modules.
• Proficient of AutoCAD for flow diagrams.
• Familiarity with SAP software.
• Able to accurately model refrigeration, structural & piping components.
• Familiarity with basic refrigeration circuit.
• Exposure to steel, stainless steel, and copper piping, tubing & fitting nomenclature, standards and material specifications.
• Ability to work alone or in a team and accept responsibility for the work performed.
• Ability to schedule work, deal with conflicts and meet deadlines.
• Ability to read and understand technical specifications.
• Ability to document engineering design, prepare record files.
• Willing to explore and implement new ideas.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems
